What you get

A concrete inventory for ministries and hospital boards

Every item below is sourced from the code. When something cannot be measured, we say so.

The clinical platform

Fourteen core modules compose the platform. These mount in the free edition; modules listed as excluded are not free and do not ship.

Module What it does Free
core.record Patient records and FHIR R4 API surface Yes
core.terminology Code systems, value sets, and terminology operations Yes
bridge.ops HL7 v2.x interface engine core Yes
admit Registration, master patient index, ADT, beds Yes
schedule Slot generation and appointment lifecycle Yes
note Templated and free-text clinical notes with signing Yes
flow Nursing flowsheets, critical values, intake and output Yes
result Results management and critical values Yes
order Computerised provider order entry for lab, imaging, medication, nursing, diet Yes

The eight clinical products

These are decided into the free edition for eligible countries, pending safety review; the installer image today contains the platform modules only, with the eight products to follow. When published, they will ship together in one launcher window with a switcher. Each will have its own signed interface and its own manual. See the manuals indexAI features for the complete product list with descriptions.

  • blueChart — utilization-management evidence mapper
  • blueClaims — claims shadow-review, health and P&C lanes
  • blueBench — experiment preflight gate
  • blueDelta — manifest diff and candidate minimization
  • blueRecall — reverse impact when an input goes bad
  • blueNull — could the experiment have seen the effect?
  • blueCatch — what a review process actually catches
  • The eighth is a cryptographic eSource product for clinical trials — it is named, with its own manual, on the manuals indexAI features.
The developer kit

Seven command-line tools plus starter prompts and API documentation — all offline and pure Python except the doctor diagnostic tool, which requires pytest.

  • new_country_pack — Generate jurisdiction configuration template
  • validate_pack — Check configuration structure against rules
  • make_fixtures — Generate synthetic demo patients
  • load_coding_system — Load clinical terminology (ICD, SNOMED, LOINC, drug codes)
  • import_csv_patients — Bulk-import patient demographics from spreadsheet
  • doctor — Diagnose environment and installation problems
  • quickstart.sh — Installation and onboarding script
  • starter/ — Starter kit prompts and templates
  • docs/API_COOKBOOK.md — API usage patterns and examples
  • Receipt conformance suite — Cryptographic verification tools
System requirements

Download: Approximately 240 MB for three container images (platform, launcher, module gate). Measured 2026-09-13 by registry manifest inspection.

Disk: Approximately 1.1 GB after extraction. Measured 2026-09-13 by Docker image sizes.

Architecture: The published public container images are arm64 only. A multi-architecture image exists in MOBLUEHQ's private registry; the public release builds are single-architecture.

Network: Default install makes no outbound network calls. Patient data stays on your machine or clinic network. External backups, terminology services, and health information exchange are your choice.

Docker is required for the supplied installer. Building locally from source requires build tools; see deploy/clinic/README.md.

What you do NOT get
  • No download today. The source code is private. There is no public clone.
  • No public installer. Every container image is private. You cannot pull and run this today.
  • Synthetic data only. The software boots with an environment flag set to refuse anything but generated test data. Do not try to work around this — the safety guard is built into every module. Real patient data is not possible yet.
  • No contribution path yet. The licence terms are proposed and pending legal review. You can read the code and work for your clinic, but you cannot send changes back upstream until the licence is published.
  • No regulatory approval. This software has not been clinically validated or approved by any regulatory body. It is source-available, not a finished product.
  • No support contract. There is no vendor support or service-level agreement.
  • No hosted service. You run this on your own hardware. There is no cloud version or managed service.
  • No guarantee the project continues. This is an early-stage open initiative. Priorities, staffing, and timelines may change.
Who this is for

Clinics in low-income and lower-middle-income countries that want to run a clinical record system. You pay nothing for the software. If you run it for real patients, you share back the code changes and translations you made — never patient data. High-income countries need a commercial licence.

See eligibility and share-back for the full rules.
